Haley grinned. "Well, I try to. I just moved here," she said. Her father had a job opportunity here, so her entire family had to move to Sun Valley. "What about you?" she asked Alex. He probably did. He seemed to be a good skater.

Jason knew the girls weren't paying attention to him anymore, having been preoccupied by what appeared to be another senior. He was pretty good looking so he was going to be a real charmer with the ladies.
Jason tried to ignore that as he did another ollie off the right side of the ramp. He was getting a real good amount of speed now so he did a 180 degree flip and added a mctwist to finish it off. He landed it perfectly and grinned, looking around to see if anyone had seen that.

Evan watched the kid continue to skate. He smirked, looking over to the girls who weren't even paying attention anymore. "You do know that they aren't looking this way, right?" He asked the kid, the smirk still on his face.

Jason glanced down at an older boy who appeared to be talking to him. He shrugged, pretending not to really care, "Yeah, so? I'm allowed to board without girls watching me," He answered, noticing the smirk on the boys face. He turned away from him, skating back down the ramp and doing two more ollies. Geez, the nerve of some seniors...

"Well then who were you showing off to earlier?" He called down to the kid. He laughed and shook his head. Evan normally wasn't really the type who kept bugging people. Unless he didn't like them. So, he just grabbed his board and did a power ollie off the rail. He landed it and continued skating, passing the blonde kid. He came to a hault and looked to the kid. "Hey, what's your name?" He asked, curiously.

"Same, I moved last year, my father got promoted, since he works everywhere, so we're staying here, hopefully. Though, he's never around," Alex shrugged it off, as though he didn't even care that his father was never there, but a girl like Haley seemed to distract him from it.

Haley sighed. It sounded a bit... sad that Alex's dad was never around. Sure, Haley didn't like that her father made her move away form home, but she definitely wouldn't want him to get too caught up in work. "My dad had a job opportunity here. He's the boss, so he made me and my mom and my brothers move across the country," Haley said. It wasn't that she wasn't enjoying Sun Valley, but she'd rather be back... home.

Alex nodded, understanding Haley. "Well, you like it here so far?" Alex questioned her, setting his skateboard back down, placing one foot on it to hold it in place. Sure, Alex was pretty bummed that his father was never around, and the only way he talked to him was over his cell phone, he missed his carefree dad...but now he's a work-a-holic.

Jason shrugged, as he had stopped in the middle of the ramp. "Not really anyone...I guess you could say this hot girl was flirting with me? I wasn't really showing off, but I do love to skate," He answered the older boy, then extending his hand, he answered, "Jason Connors. What about you?"

Evan nodded. "Oh, I see." He shook Jason's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Evan. Evan Dismuke." He let go of Jason's hand and picked up his board. "Yeah, skating sort of all I do sometimes myself." He said, looking around. He looked back to Jason, "So, what year are you in, kid?" He asked.

"Likewise," He responded to his 'nice to meet you.' He nodded while listening to him talk about skateboarding. "Same here. I grew up in Maine and there weren't too many skaters there, let alone girl skaters so I was always boarding by myself...I kinda taught myself to board," He explained, a smile playing on his face. He found it a bit insulting that he called him kid but he shrugged it off, "I'm a freshman, so ninth grade," He responded, "You?"

He raised his eyebrows slightly. "You taught yourself? Pretty cool." He said. "I know a few girls who skateboard. Not too many though. I can see that a lot of them do here though." He said, looking over at some girls skating nearby. "I admire a girl who skates.'' He smirked. "Yeah, I kinda figured you were. No offense. I'm in my senior year here." He replied.

Jason nodded, "Yeah, I was so bored I really had nothing else to do," He answered with a gentle laugh. "Same here," He agreed, "but girls who can skate are seriously hot," He exclaimed, nodding his head and grinning. He then laughed again and returned the smirk, "Yeah, so do I. Like I said, it makes 'em extra hot." He smiled and waved his hand around, "Naah, it's fine. I figured so also, but it's kinda weird...people tell me I look old for my own age," He explained, a bewildered expression on his face.

"Really? Well, I guess you kinda do." Evan said, laughing a bit. "You've never, like, stayed back have you?" He asked, curiously. "Because if you have then maybe that's why people think that?" He suggested, shrugging.

Haley nodded. "Yeah, but it's nothing like home." She sighed. Moving across the country had it's advantages and disadvantages. She got to have a fresh start in a new place. Perhaps instead of being a school dork, she could be... at least... normal. She really missed her friends though. She didn't have a cell phone and her parents wouldn't let her call long distance. The only way she could keep in touch with them was through letters, so it was good that Haley enjoyed writing.
